Monday Made It #2 {Wedding Style}

Hey there! It sure has been awhile since I've last posted…but I have a good reason. I got married!! The hubby and I got married on June 29 and it was literally The Best Day of Our Lives! We had such a great time and truly enjoyed every moment of our wedding day.  Here are some sneak peek photos from our big day!

This is one of my absolute favorites! I love our backdrop!!

Our fabulous wedding party!

The hubs and his boys

My beautiful bridesmaids!

Hope you enjoyed our wedding photos :) As you can probably guess, the entire month of June was dedicated to 'Wedding Stuff'. I haven't even given one thought to school until about last week. I know, Crazy huh..especially for me! Anyways. Today I'll be linking up with Tara over at 4th Grade Frolics for her Monday Made It to share some wedding things I've been creating!

Up first are our wedding favors. Too often at weddings I see people leaving their favors on the table or eating them before the wedding even started! I wanted our favors to be something our guests could keep, use, and WANT to take home with them. I ended up on deciding to create CDs. We chose a combination of slow, fast, and upbeat songs that defined our relationship and/or reminded us of our earlier days dating ;)
This is our front cover

This is the back with our seal. You can't tell in the photo but the emblem is all glitter!! I love my glitter ;) And YES, I glued 150 of those onto each CD case.

Next up are our tip envelopes. I wanted to give a little something special to our vendors so I addd this sweet note with our tips :)

Next we have my bridesmaid gifts. I purchased Tori Burch slippers for each of them and made personalized Mason Jars for each of them. For those of you who have never experienced Hawai'i in the summer..let me tell you, it is HOT! I didn't want anyone to get dehydrated so we sipped water out of these all day long. Inside of the  Mason Jar I put some band-aids, mints, stain removers, and tissues.

That's it for today. I'm hoping to link up next week with more school related things. My To-Do list is about a mile long. I've only been into the classroom twice and most of the work was to distribute grade level supplies and then arrange furniture. I still have a ton of work to do and am beginning to stress just a little since we head back to work next week Monday!! Where did the time go?!

Enjoy the rest of your summer!!

Spring Break Recap!

Today is officially the very last day of Spring Break for us here in Hawaii. I am pretty sad about heading back to work..It sure was nice having time to relax and take care of wedding stuff!

Over the break, my mom came to visit and stayed for about a week. It was so awesome to have her around. She took care of my dog, cooked and cleaned for us AND helped me bang out all of my wedding invites!

I was feeling pretty stressed about wedding stuff but got a lot done and am feeling WAY better right about now.

My break consisted of mass producing our wedding invites.

Cutting, gluing, edging, glittering, labeling, checking off names……

Here are the little corners that I individually glued on each invitation..

Our RSVP cards.

My biggest tip for you when doing RSVP cards are to number each card (just in case they don't write their name on the line when they return it) and to write in the number of seats you are reserving. You'd think that people would get it by how the outter envelope is addressed..but you'd be surprised!

I also did a ton of ordering from Amazon. I really wanted to find my vases locally but I felt like I was beginning to run out of time. I actually ended up finding a great deal online so ordered these vases.

Even with the cost of shipping, they come out to about $6.25/vase. Way cheaper than I would've been able to find here.

I also ordered these waterproof LED lights. I plan to put them down at the bottom of the vase, and then fill them with water beads. It will be filled with an orchid plant and curly willow.

My dad also came in for the weekend to hang out. We headed to Disney's Aulani Resort for Happy Hour!

The ambiance at this place was so beautiful and relaxing! Not to mention the soothing Hawaiian Music!

I also got to spend a lot of time with my fur baby! It was so nice to be home with her all day :) Here she is watching TV. Yup- my dog likes to watch Animal Planet. Her favorite show is Too Cute. She will literally sit in front of the TV like that, wag her tail, whine, and be totally engaged from start to ending!

Last but not least, I had to squeeze in some work time. I whipped out the last of my Morning Math Packs….You can pick May up here

I've also bundled all of my morning math packs into 2 separate bundles to save you some money!
Bundle 1 contains all of the morning math you'll need for the first half of your school year.

Bundle 2 are all to be used during the second half of the year.

Both of these bundles are valued at $15.00 but will be on sale in my TpT store for only $10.00 for the rest of today.

If you have already purchased my morning math packs from Aug-April Email me with your TpT info. and I will send you May for free :)

We got new computers at school right before the break so I also spent some time going through my work computer. I have a TON of files that I need to redo, so you can be expecting a ton of new products from me in the near future.

Yesterday I had time time to work on these:

You can also pick that up in my TpT shop

Now I'm off to finish planning for the day, finish stuffing envelopes then head out to do some grocery shopping!
Have a great week!

Wednesday Wedding Inspiration: Favors

Welcome to Wednesday Wedding Inspirations!
Today I will be continuing a weekly series where I share ideas and inspirations for anyone who is planning a wedding, or anyone who just loves everything about weddings. Last week, I posted about wedding gowns so if you missed it..you can check it out here

This week I will be sharing some ideas on some creative, fun and budget friendly favors.
Favors are a great way to give a little thanks to your guests for making it out to your big day..as well as to have some fun and really showcase who you and your man are as a couple.

My hubby and I love a good night out with friends and some cocktails..so these favors are right up our alley!

Feel free to click on any of the photos throughout this post to be redirected to the source of the photos :)
A cheaper alternative to this would be to buy your own shot glasses from discount stores such as Ross, TJ Maxx, Homegoods, etc. You could put your own sayings on the glass using vinyl, or you could just go ahead and fill them with candy.

Champagne and OJ

I definitely love this one. We are both beer lovers.

Here are some cute and 'random' favors:

You can find a ton of super cute and customizable already made favors from Etsy. This option will save you a ton of time and stress, but can also be very pricy.

If you're like me and on a tight budget, here are some more ideas:

You could also change the label 'Love is Sweet'

I've also seen others who make a donation to their favorite charity in the guest's name. An option could be to choose 2 or 3 of your favorite charities, give guests a 'kiss or hugs' candy when they sign in, then they can choose which charity they'd like you to donate to on their behalf.

These photos were taken from a friend's wedding :) She is super crafty and creative!!

What are/were your wedding favors? Any advice/tips for me on favors? I'd love some advice!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday Wedding Inspiration: Bridal Gowns

Hey there and Happy Wednesday to you!
For those of you who have been following me for awhile, you know that I got engaged last year. My fiance and I had put wedding planning on hold because we also bought our first home back in May. We have finally set a date for June 29, 2014. That is only 7 months away!!! I get freaked out everytime I think about all the planning I have to do, so to help myself stay on top of the ball and help any of you who are also planning a wedding (or just love anything to do with weddings) I am going to start a weekly blog series. Each Wednesday (I will try my best) I will post some wedding inspiration links/photos that I have found while surfing the web and pinterest.

This week I will be posting some inspiration photos of Bridal Gowns!!
This was by far probably my favorite part of the wedding planning process. I was that little girl who always dreamt of my wedding and the gown I would wear. Here are some of my dream dress photos:

Absolutely love the bling and detailing of this dress!
This veil is stunning!

I'm sure you can basically figure out the style I love. Big princess ball gown dresses with lots of BLING!
I can officially say that my wedding dress is paid for and has been ordered. All I can say is that I shocked myself with the dress that I chose to buy. After my wedding passes, I will be sure to post some photos of the dress I chose and tell the story behind it. (I just don't want to share just in case the hubby decides to read this post ;)
Check out my pinterest for a ton of wedding dress pins!

The Knot also has about a couple thousand photos of beautiful wedding gowns in all different styles!
If you are planning a wedding, make sure to download The Knot wedding app! It is totally amazing and the only thing keeping me semi-on track with planning my wedding!

What is/was your dream wedding dress like?

Stay tuned next week for ideas on creative favors!

Fab. Five for Friday (a day late) and some NEWS!!

Hi gals, sorry my Friday post is a day late...I had to take my car in to get tires changed yesterday after school so didn't have time for a posting. BUT..I've been hard at work pinning so let's get to my Fabulous five pins for this week. Again, I've been pinning so much lately that I'm having a difficult time narrowing down all of my fabulous pins. Feel free to check out my pinterest board to see what I've been up to! All of my pins this week have a common theme...sorry, no educational pins this week!

Isn't this picture SO adorable?? I love the idea  of my dad (or any dad) having this picture framed in their office or at home :)

Have guests sign puzzle pieces with advice/best wishes. Put the puzzle pack together, frame it and display in your home!

This is a MUST HAVE. I always tear up at weddings when I see the bride walking down the aisle with her Daddy. Can you tell I'm a daddy's girl??! haha

When I get married, I totally want a set of photos like these!! Gotta remember to bring some sparklers!!

How beautiful is this table arrangement?? I think that candles make all wedding look so elegant!!

SO..does anybody notice a common theme with all of my pins for this week?! Yup, you got it!! They're all about weddings.......Why??

I GOT ENGAGED!!! :)

On Tuesday, the boyfriend and I went on a hike...Once we got to the top he wanted to take a photo of me looking out at the scenery (he's been getting a little into photography lately and has been wanting to take photos like that) so the good girlfriend I am..I decided t model for him. He was taking a bit long to snap the photo so I turned around and he was down on one knee with a ring!!!! I was SO SHOCKED and it was completely unexpected. Of course, I said yes.and I am so excited for all that we have ahead of us. I must say that this was probably by far my most favorite hike I've ever taken..or ever will take. I went up the mountain with a boyfriend and came back down with a fiancee!! :) All the pain in my legs and the tiredness I was feeling when I was going up...totally disappeared on the way down! haha.
