September Currently

I can't believe that it's already September! I swear...the older I get, the quicker each year goes by. I feel like I was JUST celebrating the start of summer. Now we're already a month into school.

Blogging has definitely been put on the back burner this year. My kids are at an all time low, I have 7 ell students, 2 who speak no english and about 80% of my kids are not on grade level. It's scary. I definitely know this will be my toughest year yet. AND on top of it all...I'm planning a wedding! I really need to step on my wedding planning because once it comes summer....it's wedding time!

As you can tell by my currently I'm pretty much just trying to stay afloat this year. I didn't realize how stressful wedding planning was and because we're on a really tight budget for our wedding I'm planning on DIY-ing most of our wedding :/ We'll see how that goes.

If any of you have any advice or tips...I'd love to hear it!

As far as the 3 things that I'd like to accomplish this month:
1. continue to eat healthy. I've been doing really good with this so far. I've been shopping on the weekend and packing my lunches the night before. Last week I was falling off schedule but I plan on going shopping tomorrow....

2. Continue to work out. 1 and 2 pretty much go together because I'd like to be back to skinny for my wedding. I've lost about 7 lbs. since school's started but I have about 10 more to go!

3. Last but not least I need to try to not worry about things. I've gotten a lot better at this since my first year of teaching, but since I got school and wedding planning I've been stressing a lot about the money and all the work lately. I need to keep reminding myself that everything will work out (hopefully). :)

  1. Congratulations on your wedding! Exciting but super stressful at the same time. Good luck I am sure you will survive it beautifully {I have no advice as we gave up planning 3 months in and eloped... I'm sure you'll handle it much better than we did!}

  3. I'm a worrier too...I try to remember the quote, "Worrying is like building a bridge you may never need to cross." That seems to help!

    Best of luck with all you have going on!!

  5. Congrats! When is your wedding? I got RIF eight months before my wedding and I spent those months searching for a new job and planning a wedding. It was a crazy time but I survived. Make sure you enjoy the whole process because your wedding day flies by! I hope things settle down with your class this year too.
